KINGSBRIDGE 

Kingsbridge is a bustling market town, situated at the head of the Kingsbridge & Salcombe Estuary and is also at the heart of the South Hams Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The estuary is often busy with paddle boarders, kayakers, sailing dinghies and motorboats at high tide. Stunning bench view of Kingsbridge sea and other nature areas

It provides a central location to explore the rolling countryside, coastal villages and sandy beaches that are all just a short drive away. 

Its central street, Fore Street, provides a great opportunity for some retail therapy in an array of independent boutiques and stores. There is also a great selection of restaurants, cafes and pubs within this town, offering a wide variety of cuisine, with lots making the most of the local produce from the local area in their offerings.  

 

DARTMOUTH

Dartmouth is a lovely harbour town, with the River Dart providing the focal point for the town. Its charming historic streets and scenic river backdrop provide for a relaxed day out. 

You will find an array of independent shops and art galleries as you meander around the town, along with a plentiful selection of cafes, restaurants and pubs for refreshments

For those looking for a spot of history and heritage be sure to check out the Dartmouth Castle and Agatha Christie’s Greenway National Trust.

The town is also home to the Dartmouth Naval College, situated predominantly on the hill – a good view can be gained of this if you get the passenger or car ferry over to Kingswear on the other side. 

A short drive from Dartmouth is the unspoilt and quaint riverside village of Dittisham. It offers the perfect setting for a relaxed meander and a great place for a spot of crabbing. Alternatively, in the other direction, there is the stunning and award winning Blackpool Sands offering a stunning sandy stretch of beach with breathtaking views out to sea. 

 

TOTNES 

Totnes is a historic market town that offers a vibrant and eclectic atmosphere, set against beautiful countryside and offering a fascinating history. A short distance from Totnes, there is the Dartington Hall Estate, with its historic house, listed gardens, shopping village – perfect for an afternoon of exploring.
